Alan Jerome Adams, Jr., 41, of Bondurant, Iowa passed away on October 25th, 2020 in West Des Moines, Iowa unexpectedly of natural causes.
Alan was born in San Francisco, CA to Alan and Patricia Adams on February 10th, 1979. In Alan's younger years he enjoyed fishing and being at Lake Berryessa with his Grandparents Fred and Lela. He moved to Des Moines, Iowa and attended Valley High School where he graduated in 1997. He attended camp at Twin Lakes Christian Center as a camper and then became a summer staff member where he made lasting friendships and met the love of his life Colette Adams. Alan and Colette married on September 15th, 2001 in Pomeroy, Iowa. From this union was born his most precious gifts Emma Grace and Nora Faith. Alan was their biggest and loudest fan. He made sure to attend all their extracurricular events and cheer the loudest for them. Alan's past times were playing cards with family and friends, spending time with family, smoking cigars and driving his Jeep. Alan lived a big life figuratively and literally. His presence lit up a room. He always made everyone laugh and put them at ease in any situation. Alan's hugs were the best and those who experienced them will never forget. Alan was very charismatic and put 100% in everything he did. He spent the last few years working in sales, he enjoyed working with people and his customers and co-workers knew they could count on him.
Alan is proceeded in death by his father Alan Adams and Grandparents Lela and Fredrick Johnson.
Alan is survived by his daughters Emma and Nora Adams, Sisters Summer and Angela Adams, Mother Patricia Drohlich, whom he shared a very special bond with until the end.
The family asks that memorial contributions go to his children Emma and Nora Adams.
