Annetta McMillen, 86, passed on Wednesday July 5, 2023 from a stroke.
Annetta was born on January 14, 1937 in Sheridan, Missouri to Clarence and Dorothy (Haun) Cossins and she lived in Johnston, Iowa.
She married Richard McMillen on December 5, 1953 in Grant City, Missouri. Annetta was a licensed practical nurse specializing in geriatric care. Her hobbies included restoring dolls, quilting and crocheting. She also loved holding her grandbabies and great grandbabies. She also liked to play Yahtzee.
She is survived by her sister Barbara Carlock, son Gary (Diann) McMillen, daughter Tena Burcham-Peacock, daughter Deanna Nolte, son David (Shannon) McMillen; grandchildren Jeramy (Shannon) McMillen, Brande (Kain) Fox, Rachelle (Jeremy) McMillen, Tabitha (Will) Burcham, Jordyn Berry, Breanne (John) Holliday, Lilly McMillen, Gracie McMillen, Zion Nolte, Colton Nolte, Connor Nolte; several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Richard, two brothers Calvin Cossins and Ora Cossins, her sister Sarah Winsor, and two son in-laws Don Burcham and Mark Nolte.
Service will be held at Merle Hay Funeral Home in Johnston, Iowa on Wednesday, July 12, 2023 at 12:00 PM with burial service to follow at Fairview Cemetery south of De Soto, Iowa.
