Barbara Jean McFall-Hoyka, 85, went home to meet her Savior on Friday, February 28, 2025.
She was born at home in Colfax, Iowa to Ruthie Anna (Fillman) and Ira “Lee” Bruce on April 30, 1939.
A celebration of life will be held at 10:30am on Thursday, April 10, 2025, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 400 Pleasant View Dr, Waukee. Private inurnment will be held at the Chapel Hill Gardens Cemetery in Des Moines.
Barb’s full life story will be on Facebook. She is survived by her children, Kelly (Keith) Boll of Winterset, David (Lynn Underwood) McFall of Hurst, TX, Brian McFall of Cleveland, TX, five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, a sister Karen Welch and a brother Rodger Bruce.
Barb will join in heaven her husband and soul-mate, Joe “Lefty” Hoyka, with whom she did not nearly have enough earthly time with.
