Beloved father, brother, son and friend, Daniel Mark Olson passed away Monday February 7th, 2022. Dan will be remembered as hard-working, fun loving, and easy going.
Dan enjoyed taking long walks with his best pal and loyal dog, Pixie. Through the years he was an avid runner and enjoyed staying active. He loved jamming out to classic rock and busting a move. One of his favorite ways to spend an evening was relaxing while watching a western or comedy. He always knew how to brighten a room and brought so much laughter to both old and new friends. He was a talented scotcheroo maker and would never pass up on one of his mom’s peanut clusters. His greatest pride was his children, and he always supported them through each stage of life.
He is survived by his children Logan (Joey) Cheers, Hannah (Keegan Morgan) Olson, his mother Bonnie (Dennis) Hudson, his sister Kristi Coffin, his step-sister Connie (Paul) Tolle and many nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his father Luther (Beverly) Olson, his brother Randy Olson, his step-sister Teresa Bergeson, and his brother-in-law Daniel Coffin, as well as his best friend and loyal dog Pixie.
Memorial Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 13th, 2022 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Merle Hay Funeral Home, 4400 Merle Hay Road, Des Moines, IA 50310.
Remembrances may be made in the form desired by friends and family.
The family is encouraging those not fully vaccinated for COVID-19 to please wear a mask.
