Denise Marie Brumfield, 53, passed away on May 7, 2021 at MercyOne Medical Center in Des Moines. There will be a visitation from 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, at Merle Hay Funeral Home.
Denise was born July 1, 1967 in Des Moines, Iowa to Ronald O. and Naomi M. (Lesher) Brumfield. She attended Waukee schools, graduating in 1985. Denise loved animals, making jewelry, and watching and feeding the birds. She also liked watching westerns and was a skilled jack of all trades.
Denise is lovingly remembered by her mother, Naomi; her children: Susanne (Mike) Peterson, Christopher (Zondra) Brumfield, Rosa Brumfield, and Therasa Brumfield; her grandchildren: Savanna, Owen, Elizabeth, Everett, and Aiden; and her siblings: Sandy Lynch, Cyndi Brumfield, and Ronda Brumfield.
Denise was reunited in heaven with her father, Ronald; grandmother, Bernice Lesher; and brother-in-law, David Lynch.
