Ed “Eddie” Leroy Beechum aka “Tex” was born in Paris, Missouri January 12, 1938.
In 1958, Ed moved to Des Moines and settled in the town that he would eventually call his forever home. A proud John Deere retiree and business owner of “Beechum’s Painting”. Forever a Kansas City Chiefs super-fan.
Never meeting a stranger, his smile alone could brighten your day. Ed had an exuberant personality & an impeccable sense of style. Trustworthy, a wonderful confidante, who you truly could rely on. In being a class act he was always willing to lend a helping hand.
In his free time, he loved bowling, fishing, painting, anything that involved working with his hands.
Always waiting to get the latest gadgets and the newest piece of machinery. Exuding charisma! He was a charmer, who loved to laugh & joke around. However, when providing guidance, he would always give it to you straight! As an elder of the family, Ed will truly be missed by all whether it would be his children, grandchildren, friends, church family, neighbors, and strangers alike, he impacted us all!
