Elizabeth May, 64, of Des Moines, IA , died on Saturday, June 26, 2021, in hospice.
Elizabeth was born on December 4, 1956, in Chicago, IL. She was the daughter of Lorraine Weir. She had five sisters Pam, Diane, Marcella (Bob), Connie, and Donna, and two brothers, John and Samuel.
She married her late husband Robert Beyers in 1979 and they were married for three years until his death in 1982. Elizabeth married John H. May Sr. on September 17,1982. She had three daughters Sarah Weir Cox, Rachel Kane (Randy), Miriam Eiskant and one son, John (Fallon) May Jr.
She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Webpage Designing in 2009. Elizabeth had great faith in God. She loved her churches; the First Pentecostal Church in Springfield, IL and Calvary Apostolic Church in Des Moines, IA. Elizabeth loved spending time with friends and family and enjoyed outdoor activities.
She was preceded in death by her mother, aunt Lovina Weir, sister Donna, and brother Samuel.
She is survived with her loving husband, four children, eleven grandchildren, three sisters, brother and many nieces and nephews.
There will be a Memorial Service on Thursday, July 1, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. at the Calvary Apostolic Church, 2611 Easton Blvd, Des Moines.
