Ernest Harry Mitchell Jr. passed away on December 4th, 2023. He was born May 8th, 1967, in Des Moines, Iowa, son of Josephine and Ernest Mitchell Sr. He went to Lincoln High School in Des Moines. He continued his education at DMACC in Ankeny, Iowa, where he received his degree as an automotive technician. He took many classes on heating and cooling and worked for Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 33. He was great at helping people and had many great friends. Ernie is survived by his wife Beth, two sisters, Jeanne Fry, Laurel Benson and nieces and a nephew. He is preceded in death by his mother Josephine and father Ernest Sr., sisters, Carol Mitchell, Janet Andreano (Chuck) brother, Michael Mitchell (Sherry) and a nephew, Jason Benson. He will be greatly missed.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 24th at 2:00 PM at the Merle Hay Chapel.
