After AIB, Glenace started her professional career with Iowa Vocational Rehabilitation Services on October 1,1963. She moonlighted for several years at the Buccaneer Hockey Arena where she met the love of her life Dan. They were married on August 27, 1980, in Des Moines. Glenace was an avid reader of Harlequin romance books, working crossword puzzles and word games, enjoyed watching multiple TV soap operas, camping with Dan and the dogs, playing card games with family, casino nights, spending the holidays in WA with family and traveling, making multiple trips to Kauai.
A Celebration of Life, officiated by Pastor Nathan Hiatt, will be held at Merle Hay Funeral Home in Des Moines on Friday September 27th. Visitation at 10:30, Service at 11:00 with a luncheon following. Aunt Glenie, as she was fondly called by her multitude of nephews, nieces, grand nephews, and grand nieces, will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. All enjoyed her smile, distinctive laugh and quick wit.
