Jeanne Edyth Bell passed away Sunday, September 24, 2023, in her home surrounded by family. Jeanne was born January 29, 1932, in NYC, New York, the daughter of Charles and Edyth Moeser. She was the youngest of two daughters (late Marilyn Hicks).
Jeanne married the late Everett Bell in 1955 and one child was born in this union. They enjoyed their time traveling the world together. Jeanne graduated from California State University, Dominguez Hills in 1979 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications. She prided herself on being a grandma to Ryan. Jeanne professed her life to Christ at an early age. Her strong faith carried her through all stages of her life.
As Jeanne’s dementia progressed, she moved to West Des Moines, Iowa in 2021 to be closer to loved ones. Some of her many adventures included taking walks at the store, late night drives, and soaking in the warm weather outside. She experienced great joy guiding and playing with her great grandson Roman. Jeanne is survived by her son, Russell Bell (Jenny); granddaughters Kenzie and Dani, great grandson Roman; her brother-in-law Al Hicks, nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Her family would like to thank Tom Darcy for being there when family couldn’t, MorningStar for the excellent love and care she received, Wesley Life Hospice who made her transition to heaven peaceful, and her caregivers who she looked at as granddaughters - Hanna, Nermina, and Lejla - for being by her side.
A Celebration of life for Jeanne Bell will be held at a later date.
