Khampheth Hacknorath, 67, of Des Moines, Iowa passed away on Saturday, July 17, 2021, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center.
Khampheth Hacknorath was born on October 24, 1953, in Xiangkhouang, Laos; he was the son of Boun and Mah Hacknorath. He was the first of their six children. He attended and graduated college, and he taught Economics in Laos. On October 10, 1977, Khampheth was united in marriage to Manivanh Senesouphanh in Vientiane, Laos. They immigrated to the United States in March 1982 and made their home in Des Moines, IA. They have three loving children and five wonderful grandkids. Khampheth worked and retired for the State of Iowa Maintenance Services. He was a member of the SOTAF and THCD Society. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, singing, dancing, soaking in the sun and spending time with his grandkids.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 43 years, Manivanh Hacknorath, children, Oulaythone (Stacy) Hacknorath, Savanchay (Manuel) Hacknorath and Shane Hacknorath, and his precious grandchildren, Bailey, Kaitlyn Kobe, Quincy and Tiarra, and three siblings in Laos.
In death he rejoins his parents, Boun and Mah Hacknorath, his sister Pang and brother La, and infant son, Lomsavath Hacknorath.
Funeral Services will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 22, 2021, at the Merle Hay Funeral Home, 4400 Merle Hay Road, Des Moines, Iowa where flowers may be sent. Burial will take place on Friday, July 23, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery also at 4400 Merle Hay Road, Des Moines, Iowa.
