Lawrence A. Marsell, 75, of Urbandale, IA went to be with our Lord on September 16, 2021 while surrounded by his loving family and the help of Hospice of the Midwest.
A celebration of life gathering will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at Merle Hay Funeral Home, 4400 Merle Hay Road. There will be a private burial at a later date.
Larry was born to Annies and Leona Marsell. After graduation from high school, he joined the Navy. Larry was stationed in Viet Nam until his honorable discharge. He was a member of Local Union 21. Larry retired from OPCMIA at the age of 70.
Larry enjoyed hiking, biking, canoeing, and boating with his family. He loved to watch a good movie and also going out for coffee with friends. Larry had eight grandchildren and dearly loved them all.
Larry is survived by his wife of 42 years Linda Marsell; daughters, Amanda Marsell and Leah Fletcher; sons, Zachary and Urian Marsell; grandchildren: Tristan, Vivian, Kendra, and Devon Tracy, Sebastian Hardee, Ayden Wilson, and Elliott and Serenity Marsell. He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, and other family members.
