Marie Maude McDowell entered this world on September 24th 1929, born to Conrad and Maude (McDivitt) Landon in Owatonna, Minnesota. Marie moved to Urbandale when she was a young child and graduated in the class of 1948. She lived the rest of her life in Urbandale with loving family friends and neighbors.
Marie passed away October 25, 2022 with family by her side.
She worked for American Republic Insurance Company for 35 years raising a daughter Lois (McDowell) Taylor and a son Larry McDowell (deceased) both Urbandale High School graduates.
Marie was blessed with 2 grandchildren Heather Pidal and Timothy Taylor and 2 great grandchildren Anthony Ulwick and Joseph Taylor all of Florida.
She is preceded in death by her older sister Virgil Bunnell and Dale McDowell the Love of her Life.
A graveside service will be held on Monday October 31 at Chapel Hill Gardens at Merle Hay Funeral Home at 11:00AM.
