Mary Donohoe, 74 of Des Moines, Iowa passed away on September 3, 2020 at her home at Mosaic Group Home.
Mary Kathleen Donohoe was born in Marengo, Iowa on February 24, 1946; she was the daughter of John Francis and Rachel (Langlas) Donohoe.
Mosaic had the pleasure of serving Mary for over 30 years and she touched the lives of many during her time there. She always like to look her best, having her hair done and wearing jewelry. Her favorite color was purple. She loved music and had an old guitar that friends would use to play music for her. Mary enjoyed being outdoors when the weather was nice and watching the activity in her neighborhood looking out her window. She had a great bond with her mother and they would spend their time together baking. When Mary volunteered at the local daycare where she was known as “Miss Mary”, she would deliver baked treats for snack time. Mary had a love for shopping and going for coffee. She had a great love for her cat, Horton, whom she had for many years.
Left to cherish her memory is her brother, Larry Donohoe of Texas.
In death, Mary rejoins her parents John “Fran” Donohoe and Rachel Donohoe.
