Mary Marlin, 89, passed away at her home under the loving care of her family.
Hulda Mary Martelli was born in Madrid, Iowa on July 6, 1931. She was the daughter of Dominicko and Carrie (Walker) Martelli. She was united in marriage to George Marlin and after he passed away, she married Wm Marlin Jr. She was a homemaker and loved all her mom duties, she enjoyed quilting, sewing, crocheting, gardening and cooking as she was an amazing cook and baker, but above all she loved her family.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Peggy (Bob) Rosenbaum, George (Sharon) Marlin, Debbie (James) Lierow, Cathy Marlin, Diane (Jeff) Graff, and Tammy (Kevin) Sonderleiter, 21 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren, daughter-in-law, Barb Marlin and son-in-law, Jerry Masters.
In death she rejoins her parents, Dominicko and Carrie Martelli, husbands, George Marlin and Wm Marlin Jr., children, Bill Marlin and Lucille Masters.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 1, 2021 from 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. at Merle Hay Funeral Home, 4400 Merle Hay Road, Des Moines, IA., funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
