In loving memory of Rachon Aunspach who passed away peacefully on April 28th at her daughter and son-in-law’s home in Rock Hill, South Carolina.
Rachon was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota on September 6th, 1939. As a child after moving to Des Moines with her family, she attended Hubble Elementary and Roosevelt High School and graduated in 1957. After high school she worked at Arnold’s fashions for 18 years, Yonkers Fur department for 10 years, and retired from Wells Fargo in 2002. She then volunteered for Every Step Hospice for 18 years.
She was loved and admired for her quick smile and wonderful sense of humor.
She was preceded in death by her parents Jerry and Adelyne Bloedow, her sister Jer-Aye Houser, and her husband of 33 years Harold L. Aunspach.
She is survived by her brother, Richard Bloedow, daughter DeLynn Czachorski and her husband Marc, her son Richard L. Whitney and his companion Sue Dahl. She will be sorely missed by her five grandchildren, two great grandchildren, six nieces and nephews and their spouses as well.
Services will be held at Merle Hay Funeral Home on June 4th at 1:00p.m. Refreshments will be served afterward.
