Rebecca Vasquez, age 72, passed peacefully on Monday January 22, 2024, at Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa.
She was a hard-working immigrant that originally was born in Sonora Mexico on October 20,1951. She was always thriving to provide a better future for her family leaving them great role model of work ethic and independence. She loved to cook authentic Mexican food and enjoyed spending time with family.
Rebecca is survived by her children, Jesse, Jose, Elizabeth, Francisco, Maria, Gustavo, Mayra, Becky and with her grandchildren and great granddaughter and siblings.
She shared lots of memories with her loving husband Isaias Arroyo.
She is now reunited with her parents Roque Vasquez and Antonia Torres and two brothers Filiberto and David Vasquez.
We will remember her with her characteristics and joyful laugh as she is in heaven resting in peace. We will honor her with lots of love and appreciation for everything she has done.

A visitation will be held on Friday, January 26, 2024, at 10:00 AM at Merle Hay Chapel, 4400 Merle Hay Road, Des Moines, Iowa. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM with burial at 12:00 PM at Chapel Hill Cemetery, 4400 Merle Hay Road, Des Moines, Iowa.
