Shelia Weston, age 76 years old, passed away on September 3rd, 2024, at home. She was born February 16th, 1948, in Des Moines, Iowa to her mother Bettie Barber. Her siblings are Vicki Clark, Margene Carter, Clarence Butts, and Paula Butts.
She was a proud native of Des Moines and was a student at North High School. She had two children with her former spouse Tyrone Weston Sr. Her children are Chrisee Weston and Tyrone Weston Jr. Her livelihood consisted of various career sectors, but always displayed hard work and dedication.
Shelia Weston was a very loving, passionate, radiant, freehearted, loyal, and jubilant person. Her two greatest passions were her family, creating memories, and creating good times. Shelia Weston always had the ability to make anyone smile and laugh in the room. She loved playing cards, shopping, and spending time with family. She enjoyed watching TV shows like Young & The Restless, The Bold and Beautiful, Family Feud, and Wheel of Fortune.
Shelia Weston was a devoted mother, grandmother, and sister. There is nothing she would not have done for her grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter Chrisee Weston, her son Tyrone Weston Jr., her grandchildren Steven Willis (Tamara Willis) and DeVondre Williams, and her great grandchildren DeVonni Williams, Dia Williams, and Ezra Willis. Her sister Margene Carter (Daniel Carter), her brother Clarence Butts, and her sister Paula Butts. Also, many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Family and friends are invited to the Merle Hay Funeral Home from 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM for visitation and 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM for funeral service on September 12th, 2024, to reminisce and honor the life of Shelia Weston.
