Shirley Ann Atherton, 90, of Norwalk, Iowa passed away September 27,2024 at Regency Care
Center in Norwalk, IA.
Shirley was born December 2, 1933, in Sigourney, IA, the daughter of Walter & Emma Morris.
Shirley grew up & graduated from Sigourney High School in 1952.
Shirley met & married Thomas Atherton on August 15, 1953. They had two children Vickie &
Van. Shirley was a homemaker & active member of the Martensdale Community Church. She
enjoyed doing crafts, quilting & ancestory as well as traveling in her younger years. Shirley
was proud of her children, grandchildren & great-grandchildren & loved watching them in their activities.
Shirley is survived by Vickie Jacobsen & Van (Cheri) Atherton; grandchildren, Troy (Stacie)
Atherton, Todd (Lindsay) Atherton, Trisha (Joe) Darby; great-grandchildren; Macie Atherton,
Preston Atherton Emilla Atherton, Logan Atherton, Blake Atherton, Kyra Darby, Dalton Darby & Laina Darby; and many cousins, nieces & nephews.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
